God Is A Giver

Romans 12:4-8 Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, 5 so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. 6 In His grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well.

Hearing God On Purpose

We know the general will of God by His Word.

We know the specific will of God by His voice.

#1 God wants to talk to me

John 15:15 I don't call you servants anymore, because a servant doesn't know what his master is doing. But I've called you friends because I've made known to you everything that I've heard from my Father.

One of the marks of a personal relationship with someone is communication.

#2 I can hear God’s voice

As a Christian, hearing God is not something you do, it's someone you are.

John 10:1-4 (NKJV) “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

1 Corinthians 14:33 God is not the author of confusion…

Matthew 7:9-11 What man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
