Called to love and sent to serve, for the good of our city & the glory of Jesus
“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
— Mark 10:45
Serve Saturday
Serve Saturday is New Song’s monthly, church-wide outreach into our city.
Each month, our church family gathers to pray, go, and serve - stepping into the mission of God as a city on a hill, commissioned with His love.
What You’ll Find on Serve Saturdays:
1. Neighborhood Network Sports Outreach
Launched in January 2025 after years of groundwork, this monthly sports education program focuses on answering the call to underserved students in our city. Students come to play in structured 3v3 basketball tournaments, have pizza, and encounter the greater sustenance found in Christ. This effort calls for gifts and resources from our church family, open doors in communities looking for hope, safe spaces for relationships, and Spirit-marked impact that uses this open door to magnify the name of Jesus.
2. Sojourners Refugee Ministry
Also launched in January 2025, we intentionally build long-lasting relationships with those transplanted to our city. Through shared meals, home visits, practical support, and Spirit-led consistency, we aim to be known people in their lives who point them to Jesus, giving Him a name and reputation. We pray for Christ to be magnified to each person who encounters a disciple practicing the way of Jesus as we say, "here we are - send us to this harvest!"
3. The Family Team
Our Family Team serves with partner organizations like Hope Is Alive, OKC Crisis Nursery, and In the Gap to serve those in need across our city. Each month’s agenda changes, from partnering with nonprofits to homegrown efforts like spreading the word about Alpha or serving the unhoused. Through this team’s faithful service, Kingdom community spreads out across our community with the love of Christ, for the glory of Jesus.
Serve Saturday is open to ages 6 and up.
Join us each month and help make Jesus known in our city!
