We Make Space

What does it mean to make space for God to move? In this message from Pastor Josh, we explore what happens when we recognize that everything we have belongs to Him—and that we’re called to steward it, not own it. What if generosity isn’t about money, but about the heart? What if expanding our sanctuary and opening our hands to give is actually about creating room for people to know God, be saved, and be sent? We’ll look at Ephesians 2, Psalm 50, and Matthew 6 to see how God uses surrendered hearts and open hands to build His house and reach His people. Because when we make space for Him, He fills it—with His presence, His peace, and His purpose.

We Make Space

"God owns the cattle on a thousand hills."

Psalm 50:8–12

I do not rebuke you for your sacrifices or your burnt offerings, which are ever before Me. I have no need of a bull from your stall or of goats from your pens, for every animal of the forest is Mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. I know every bird in the mountains, and the insects in the fields are Mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell you, now watch this: for the world is Mine, and all that is in it.

God is saying: "I own eveything"

We don't actually own anything! We're not owners; we're stewards.

God's not after your money but He is after your heart.

Matthew 6:21

Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

The mission of God on the earth does require our resources.

We're making space for people to be saved and sent.

Generosity creates space for salvation and sending.

Matthew 28:18–20

All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

God entrusts resources to those He can get resources through.

This moment is critical and Nothing has the power to make a difference and change the world like the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Our mission is the greatest mission on planet earth, and this is a critical moment.

Those who look for Jesus will see him: those who truly see him will worship him: those who worship him will consecrate their substance to him. — Charles Spurgeon
