We Make Space

What does it mean to make space for God to move? In this message from Pastor Josh, we explore what happens when we recognize that everything we have belongs to Him—and that we’re called to steward it, not own it. What if generosity isn’t about money, but about the heart? What if expanding our sanctuary and opening our hands to give is actually about creating room for people to know God, be saved, and be sent? We’ll look at Ephesians 2, Psalm 50, and Matthew 6 to see how God uses surrendered hearts and open hands to build His house and reach His people. Because when we make space for Him, He fills it—with His presence, His peace, and His purpose.

A Letter from our Pastor

New Song Family!

This year, we celebrated a milestone that only God could bring about, our 10th birthday as a church. Ten years ago, what began as a vision and a small step of faith has grown into a vibrant community that is both deep in discipleship and wide in reach. Together, we have witnessed lives transformed, families strengthened, leaders raised, and the gospel proclaimed here in Edmond and around the world. As you read through this annual report, I invite you to pause and celebrate with us all that the Lord has done in 2025. Each number, story, and initiative represents God’s faithfulness and your faith-filled generosity. This report is not just a record of activity, it’s a testimony of His power at work in and through His people.

I also encourage you to prayerfully look over our 2026 Answers Offering initiatives. Every year, we ask God, “How can we answer the call of this moment?” and every year He provides through the willing hearts of His church. These initiatives are more than goals on a page they are opportunities to partner with the Spirit in making room for more lives to encounter Jesus. Thank you for walking this journey with us. Thank you for giving, serving, praying, and believing. Here’s to the next decade of growth, deeper in Christ, wider in impact, stronger in faith.

In Him, Pastor Josh

What the future holds for New Song...

.

The story still unfolding

In 2015, just a few months before New Song Church officially launched, Pastor Josh was driving through the Deer Creek area of Edmond, surrounded by wide-open grass fields. In that moment, he sensed the Lord whisper, “Someday, New Song will have a church in one of these empty fields.” It wasn’t just a passing thought, it was a seed of vision planted deep in his heart. Three years later, that seed began to take root. New Song purchased 30 acres in far-west Edmond, at the corner of North Meridian and NW 206th Street—right across from two of Deer Creek’s newest schools.

.
.

Journey of faith and flexibility

In 2021, the church launched its first initiative to raise funds toward building on the land. The projected cost was $6 million, with a goal of raising $1 million to secure a loan. But then the unexpected happened. In the years following COVID, building and material costs doubled. What began as a $6 million project quickly climbed to nearly $13 million. Even after revisions, the lowest estimate still hovered around $11 million. The elders and pastors explored alternatives, including retrofitting a nearby building. When those doors closed, Pastor Josh and the team sensed the Lord leading them not to push forward, but to pause and pray. Looking back, God’s wisdom is clear. Moving ahead would have saddled

Much ground-work has already been completed!

The land has been purchased, blueprints drawn, the site has been prepared and surveyed, steel engineered, and design researched.

.
.

What we see now

The vision for Deer Creek hasn’t gone away, it’s grown. Pastor Josh and the elders still believe the land will one day hold a New Song campus. But instead of serving as the central hub, it now represents an extension campus, an outpost to reach more people with ministry, mission, and prayer. At its heart, this campus will carry the same calling that drives everything New Song does: Helping People Know God and leading people in practicing the Way of Jesus. The first phase envisions a second New Song location on the Deer Creek property, a church home for this growing community. Over time, the vision expands to include a ministry and missions school and a dedicated prayer barn, creating space for discipleship, training, and prayer that will impact generations. the church with a massive loan just as interest rates were spiking. Instead, God spared New Song by calling the church to wait.

.

Our Edmond campus continues to grow rapidly!

For now, the church's primary focus is stewarding what God is doing here, while continuing to pray for His timing and His will for Deer Creek. This is a story still unfolding. God planted the seed years ago, He has guided the church through seasons of waiting, and He will bring it to life in His time.

Making room for more to know God

Every weekend, we celebrate what God is doing as our sanctuary fills with people hungry to worship, learn, and encounter His presence! In fact, we’ve been consistently in overflow seating and regularly running out of chairs–a clear sign that God is drawing people here. After prayerful planning, we’ve discovered a simple yet powerful solution: by removing the wall on the north side of our sanctuary and reconfiguring the layout, we can expand from an auditorium that currently seats 265 to one that seats 400 plus. This expansion will allow us to keep growing in this space while the Lord continues to open doors for the future. The project will include demolition and construction, remodel-related audio and visual adjustments, and the purchase of new seating. Relocating our adult classroom is part of this plan, but God has already provided through existing office space and the generosity of business owners in this building who have offered their rooms on Sundays.

.

As the sanctuary grows so must our systems

The systems that support worship and the Word, sound, lighting, and video, are not extras. They’re tools to ensure every person in the room, no matter where they sit, can clearly hear the gospel and fully participate in worship. Our current system was designed for a smaller sanctuary footprint. With the wall removal and seating expansion, clarity and coverage would suffer without a remodel. That’s why this project also ensures that the infrastructure of sound, lighting, and video grows alongside the physical space, creating an environment where the Word of God can be proclaimed with power and worship can be experienced without distraction. This investment is about more than construction. It’s creating space for people to know God and pursue His presence, and compelling the lost to come in and meet Jesus. Every seat added represents a life that can be transformed, a family that can encounter hope, and a story that can be rewritten by the gospel.

Lobby Update

$36,000

Over the past five years

Our lobby has been the heartbeat of New Song–hosting thousands of conversations, prayers, and moments of connection. With all that heavy foot traffic, our flooring has worn thin, reminding us of how vital this space is for Kingdom Community and for those who are beginning to explore what it means to practice the way of Jesus. That’s why we’re updating our lobby with sealed concrete flooring–a durable, low-maintenance solution that will serve us for decades. We’re also adding a 20-foot HQ desk, which will be a one-stop shop for all things New Song! Plus, a 10-foot coffee bar, shelving for resources, area rugs to bring warmth, and new signage to guide and welcome guests. Together, they’ll create a visually cohesive, functional, and welcoming lobby where people experience hospitality, connection, and the presence of God! With this update, New Song HQ will stand even more clearly as the central hub for connection and culture, reminding us that every conversation, every welcome, and every step taken here is part of the bigger story God is writing.

Creating space to equip, pray, and multiply ministry

As God continues to grow New Song, our need is greater than simply Sunday seating. We also need space throughout the week to shepherd, disciple, and equip. With the upcoming sanctuary expansion, some of our current office and classroom spaces will be repurposed for seating. That makes it even more urgent to create new environments where staff can work, leaders can gather, and our church family can continue to be strengthened. This project will provide new staff offices and flexible classrooms designed for long- term ministry impact. It will also include bathroom upgrades and thoughtful finishes so that these areas are both welcoming and functional, ready to serve as hubs for prayer, discipleship, and leadership development.

Here's what this addition will make possible

Monday Morning Prayer

A dedicated, intimate space to intercede for our church and our city

Teaching Classes

Environments where biblical training and discipleship can flourish

Conference Rooms

Functional meeting spaces for staff and ministry leaders

New Song School of Ministry

A future endeavour of classrooms that will one day train and launch young adults into local church ministry

Expanded Kids Ministry Footprint

More room for children's ministry which creates space for even more kids to encounter Jesus

The Office & Classrooms Addition represents a $76,000 investment in both the present and the future, meeting immediate needs while laying a foundation for long-term ministry. By intentionally creating space for prayer, teaching, equipping, and the next generation, we are making room not just for more people, but for more leaders, more disciples, and more kingdom fruit.

Missions and Outreach

$50,000

New Song Network Support (Global Partnerships) $26,000

New Song Network is a partnership of ministries and non-profits around the world with whom we are positioned to answer the call to be the hands and feet of Jesus. As a church family, it’s an honor to sow into the work of the Gospel in 12 countries where God has allowed long-term partnerships to grow and thrive, tended through shared relationships being formed on monthly international calls, intercession and prayer, and a heart to praise His name and make Him known. This network represents the work of the Gospel being shared in Ghana, Greece, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Moldova, Myanmar, Pakistan, South Africa, Thailand, Ukraine, and Zimbabwe. We pray for the work of the Lord to be a byway into His presence and the lost to be found in Him!

$1,000 Sent Out Scholarship

As we participate in the Great Commission, New Song Church desires to send long- term missionaries out of our own house. At the other end of granted scholarships are missionaries in the mission field, proclaiming the Good News, that every nation and every tongue might know His name. This allows us to be a sending body in the work of the Gospel to fulfill Scripture - Romans 10:14-15 (NLT), “But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, ‘How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!’” May Christ be glorified in all the earth!

$8,000 Serve Our City Fund

Go Week is our annual city-wide outreach week calling the church to step out as a city on a hill and show our community the love of Christ. This is a time of spiritual formation as ages 6 and up serve together, allowing transformation to be expressed in sacrificial mission. It is good soil for tilling, planting, and sowing as God–opportunities arise and faith increases for a fresh harvest for those across the street and our neighbors in the OKC metro. This funding helps support the serve projects happening through our biggest outreach of the year. Through partnerships and investments into specialized ministries like Hope Is Alive (addiction recovery), Behind the Walls (prison ministry), and OKC Crisis Nursery (families in crisis), we are sowing into fragile and formative environments across our metro. These efforts reach hidden harvests where people encounter true freedom, life- changing introductions to Jesus, and lasting transformation.

$15,000 Serve Saturday

Serve Saturday is our monthly church-wide outreach. Every month, three teams go out to love our neighbors and serve as Jesus served. Two homegrown outreaches operate through Serve Saturdays.

.

Sojourners Refugee Ministry

Since January 2025, we have been intentionally building long-term relationships with refugees who now call our city home. Through shared meals, home visits, practical support, and Spirit-led consistency, we aim to be known people in their lives who point them to Jesus, giving Him a name and reputation. We pray for Christ to be magnified to each person who encounters a disciple practicing the way of Jesus as we say, “here we are - send us to this harvest!”

.
.

Neighborhood Network Sports Outreach

Neighborhood Network Sports Outreach also launched in January 2025. This monthly sports education program focuses on answering the call to underserved students in our city. Student come to play in structured 3v3 basketball tournaments, enjoy pizza, and encounter the greater sustenance found in Christ. This effort calls for gifts and resources from our church family, open doors in communities looking for hope, safe spaces for relationships, and Spirit-marked impact that uses this open door to magnify the name of Jesus.

Let the whole world hear the good news of Jesus Christ!
