1 Corinthians 10:11 (KJV)
Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come
Type- like a blueprint. Antitype- the fulfillment.
Type.
Psalm 118:22 (NKJV)
The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone.
Antitype. Jesus was rejected by the Jewish people but is the cornerstone of the gospel.
God will never test you with what you've been redeemed from!
Exodus 19:1–4 (NKJV)
In the third month after the children of Israel had gone out of the land of Egypt, on the same day, they came to the Wilderness of Sinai. For they had departed from Rephidim, had come to the Wilderness of Sinai, and camped in the wilderness. So Israel camped there before the mountain. And Moses went up to God, and the LORD called to him from the mountain, saying, "Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel: 'You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings and brought you to Myself.
"Bore you on eagles' wings."
Exodus 19:5–6 (NKJV)
'Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel."
The will of God, from the very beginning, is to elevate us to be a kingdom of priests.

SO NOBODY WAS ABLE TO KEEP THESE COMMANDMENTS!
Jeremiah 31:31–34 (NKJV)
"Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more."
Matthew 5:17–18 (NKJV)
"Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.
So back to this. Jesus didn't do away with the law and the commandments. He came to FULFILL them.
Hebrews 8:6–10, 13 (NLT)
But now Jesus, our High Priest, has been given a ministry that is far superior to the old priesthood, for he is the one who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises. If the first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no need for a second covenant to replace it. But when God found fault with the people, he said: "The day is coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and Judah. This covenant will not be like the one I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand and led them out of the land of Egypt. They did not remain faithful to my covenant, so I turned my back on them, says the LORD. But this is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel on that day, says the LORD: I will put my laws in their minds, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people… When God speaks of a 'new' covenant, it means he has made the first one obsolete. It is now out of date and will soon disappear.
In Christ we have a new covenant.
When you believe in Him…in the cross and what He did…something happens.
Jesus writes his law on your HEART!
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
On the inside…your heart…you are made brand new.
The new covenant empowers you from the inside to be transformed on the outside.
Typos
The Old Covenant was a type of the New Covenant antitype which is better…and because of the New Covenant we can be formed into new people.
